A stay at the Union League December 6, 2008

I am in Philadelphia for work, staying at the Union League. I’ve enjoyed my stay here, and the facilities and people are quite nice. However…
A visit from Our President has me pretty much under house arrest this morning. The article talks about the portraits of the Republican presidents, but fails to mention that there is one Democrat in the bunch — Andrew Jackson.
They thoughtfully leave this newspaper in front of my door each morning. (This story is a great illustration of the journalistic leanings)
I don’t think I’ve ever stayed someplace where I felt the agenda so overtly. Probably what it feels like to be a Republican in San Francisco.
